HOTEL GUEST SERVICES- POOL ATTENDANT
The Beach Terrace Inn, a luxurious little hotel on a big sandy beach, is seeking outgoing, energetic and professional individuals for a full-time/part time pool and breakfast attendant position.
Attendant is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, fun environment at the pool, and providing exceptional service to guests. Cleans pool furniture, tables, chairs, decks, etc. and replenishes pool towels, maintains equipment (umbrellas, cabanas, etc.) and removes trash. Monitors use of the pool facilities and guest inflow from the beach and hotel, and addresses and/or reports potential hazards to help ensure guest safety. Not responsible for life safety of guests. Must be able to communicate very well in English, both written and spoken. Must be able to lift 40-50 lbs and travel stairs frequently. We are seeking applicants that are very friendly, able to work in the sun, and have an outgoing personality.
Attendant will also serve as a host/hostess in the mornings as well as pool attendant in the afternoon. Responsibilities of the breakfast attendant include greeting and seating of guests, as well as providing exceptional customer service while guests are dining.
This position offers the possibility of additional guest service responsibilities at the Beach Terrace Inn and sister property.

Job Description:
Teaches one or more subjects within the Medical Assistant curriculum, recommends changes regarding textbooks and other aspects of the curriculum. Instructors are hired for 1 or 2 sessions.
Prepare and deliver lecture and lab demonstrations as outlined in curriculum.
Facilitate class discussions.
Requirements
Instructors must be knowledgeable in the Medical Assistant field and have specific experience in that area. This requirement can be met by having a minimum of 3 years work experience in the field (or related field).
Preferred: instructors should have demonstrated teaching ability through previous experience at a college-level educational facility.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical journals and medical/pharmaceutical concepts.
Must have CPR certificate
Ability to effectively present information to management and/or public groups

San Diego Uptown News is seeking an editor who knows the Uptown area and its movers and shakers- and knows how to write, edit and manage a biweekly, award-winning community newspaper with a circulation of over 22,000. This is a 30-40 hour/week position. Experience managing freelance writers and reporters required.
The ideal person for this position:
Has a college journalism degree or significant equivalent experience
Has at least two years of experience managing a newspaper or periodical
Knows how to mine meetings, websites and neighborhoods for news
Can write compelling news stories, fun features and eye-catching headlines in AP style
Is familiar with WordPress and how to operate a website
Has worked with InDesign software and has a savvy eye for design
Is organized, professional and a team player, and has good people skills
Is an energetic idea person who doesnt mind working an occasional evening.
